Quranify has no user accounts

There is no sign-up, no login and no profile. We do not have a database of users, and we cannot see your bookmarks, notes, tasbih counts, streaks or AI conversations.

What is stored, and where

• On your device only (browser localStorage): theme, translation and reciter preferences, Arabic font size, bookmarks, notes, reading progress and streak, tasbih counts, saved AI chat threads, and your cookie choice.
• Browser cache: recitations you choose to download for offline use.
• Sent to servers when you use a feature: the text of a message you send to Quranify AI, and approximate coordinates you allow your browser to share for prayer times.

Third-party services we call

• Quran.com API — Qur'an text, translations, tafsir, word-by-word data and search.
• EveryAyah and MP3Quran — recitation audio streaming and downloads.
• Aladhan API — prayer times, only after you allow location access.
• Lovable AI Gateway — processes Quranify AI messages so an answer can be generated.
• Google Fonts — the fonts used across the site.
• Our hosting provider — serves the site and processes standard server request logs, including IP addresses, for security and reliability.

These services receive your IP address and the request itself because that is how the web works. Each has its own privacy policy, which we do not control.

Why we process anything at all

Only to provide the feature you asked for (showing a verse, playing a recitation, answering an AI question, showing prayer times) and to keep the service secure and available. We do not sell data, run advertising, build profiles or share your religious activity with anyone.

Retention

• Device data: kept until you delete it. Nothing expires on its own.
• AI messages: sent to the AI provider to produce a reply; we do not store a copy of your conversation on our servers — the thread you see is saved in your own browser.
• Server/security logs held by our hosting and API providers are kept for their own short operational periods.

Deleting your data (and your 'account')

Because Quranify holds no account, deleting your data is immediate and complete: open Settings → Clear all local data. This removes bookmarks, notes, progress, streak, tasbih counts, AI threads and preferences from this device. Clearing your browser's site data for quranify.xyz also removes offline downloads.

Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, and to complain to your local data protection authority. Since we hold no account data, most requests are satisfied by clearing your local data — but you can still contact us through the contact page and we will respond as best we can.

Children and privacy-friendly defaults

Quranify is suitable for family use. There are no accounts, no advertising, no behavioural profiling and no public profiles or leaderboards, so a child's Qur'an activity is never exposed publicly. Analytics stays off unless it is explicitly switched on. Children should use the AI features with a parent or guardian.

Honest limits

We take security seriously, but no website can promise perfect security. Quranify does not claim to be certified, audited, officially endorsed or "fully compliant" with any particular regulation. This notice describes what the site actually does today, and we will update it when the site changes.
